Mobility Scooter Storage
If you are thinking of getting a mobility scooter, you will first need to get our permission to store it in the grounds of your home. You are not allowed to store mobility scooters either inside your home or in communal areas. Please see the Council’s Mobility Scooter Storage Policy [222kb] for details. Scooter storage in sheltered housing

Scooter stores for general needs homes
It is your responsibility to buy, install and maintain a store and ensure you have any planning permission you may need to have a store placed in the grounds of your home. In some circumstances we may provide you with a hard standing with a ground anchor, an electric charging point and access to the store under the Council’s Housing Adaptations Policy [226kb]. - Blue Badge
- Disabled Person’s Bus Pass
- High Rate Mobility Disability Living Allowance/Enhanced rate Mobility
- Personal Independence Payments
- A letter from a medical professional
