Supporting residents during winter

snowy park

With the winter months approaching us it’s important to be aware of the support available to keep yourself and your community safe and well:

  • If you’re a tenant and have concerns about paying for your energy bills, you can find a list of support options on our website or by contacting our Financial Inclusion Team on FIT@cbhomes.org.uk or call 01206 282514
  • If you are concerned about paying your rent and possibly becoming homeless, please contact our Housing Option’s Team on housing.evidence@cbhomes.org.uk or call 01206 282569
  • If you are concerned about someone you believe is rough sleeping or homeless, you can let us know through Streetlink. Either download the app or visit https://www.streetlink.org.uk
  • Colchester’s strategic partnership, One Colchester is running its Winter Resilience campaign to help those in need stay safe, warm, well and connected this winter. The partnership group will be distributing winter packs to those affected by the cold weather, including families on low incomes, people living with respiratory conditions and long-term health conditions.
Find out more about how you can support the partnership by donating and volunteering.
  • It’s important to keep your home ventilated throughout winter, especially if you have other households in your home. We’ve provided some advice on the best way to achieve this.
