Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) is now accepting applications for Round 2 of its 2024 Community Fund commencing on the 25 October 2024. The fund provides small grants and awards to local charities, projects and community groups throughout Colchester.

Key Details:

· Total Fund: £40,000 across two rounds of funding in 2024.

· Round 1 Allocation: £19,757 was awarded to 25 community groups, including youth projects like St Annes Youth Club, Underdog Crew, and Saint Andrews Stay & Play.

· Eligibility: Charities, projects and community groups in Colchester that benefit both CBH tenants and all residents, with a focus on supporting efforts to address the cost-of-living crisis.

Philip Sullivan, Chief Executive of Colchester Borough Homes, commented: “We’ve already had a fantastic response to the first round of funding this year, helping 25 local organisations make a difference in our community. Local charities and groups provide invaluable support to residents, and we strongly encourage more organisations to take advantage of this opportunity and apply.

“With the current cost-of-living pressures affecting so many, we are especially keen to hear from groups that can help our most vulnerable tenants and others in the city.”
