The Corporate Facilities Management (CFM) Team is a multi-disciplined construction-based consultancy delivering the following professional services:

  • Construction project design, procurement and management
  • Facilities management
  • Planned preventative maintenance
  • Responsive repairs
  • Carbon management and energy saving projects and advice
  • Highways Inspections and Civil Engineering
  • Asbestos management
  • General building & asset management advice

Construction Projects

The CFM Team has the resources and expertise to develop and deliver your construction (building) project from inception to completion and handover via the undertaking of any or all the following professional services:

  • Preparation of construction project feasibility studies and cost plans
  • Preparation of final detailed design including specification and drawings
  • Preparation of Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation
  • Management of project procurement in accordance with Client and European Procurement Rules
  • Preparation and administration of Building Contracts on behalf of the Client
  • Administering and enforcing the Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015
  • Managing the project budget
  • Managing and ensuring the quality of works being undertaken on site
  • Snagging works and overseeing the commissioning of the works and the handover of the project to the Client
  • Generally forming the liaison between the Client and contractors

In addition to the above the CFM Team is currently delivering the “Mercury Rising” project for Colchester Borough Council, a £9.8m project to completely redevelop the Mercury Theatre in Colchester. Facilities and Asset Management

In addition to the above, the CFM Team can also offer comprehensive and affordable facilities and asset management services for a range of property types including offices, leisure centres, sheltered housing schemes, homes in multiple occupancy, public buildings, listed buildings of historic importance and even scheduled ancient monuments.

We can service and maintain your building, building services plant and systems to comply with statutory legislation and good practice, including:

  • Building maintenance, including responsive repairs
  • Condition surveys and the creation and management of planned and cyclical maintenance programmes
  • Servicing of heating boilers, cooling and ventilation plant, pressure systems, hot water blending valves and showers, fire extinguishers, portable electric appliances, catering equipment, lifts, fire and intruder alarm systems and building energy management systems
  • Electrical fixed wiring and portable electrical appliance tests
  • Cleaning and hygiene
  • Control of legionella
  • Cleanliness of ventilation ductwork systems
  • Energy usage surveys and carbon management programmes.

CFM is OSHAS18001 accredited for Health and Safety management. It is also insured for Public Liability and has Professional Indemnity insurance and Employer’s Insurance.
