The Stop Social Housing Stigma campaign is inviting tenants and residents to take part in new research exploring the language used in the social housing sector and what it means to people.
The project aims to better understand how different words and phrases are perceived by tenants, residents and housing professionals, and to gather views on the impact language can have on people’s experiences.
As part of the research, a survey has been launched for tenants and residents to share their views. The findings will help inform future work to tackle stigma associated with social housing.
The survey is open until 25 September 2026.
