Good Neighbour Awards

Good Neighbour Awards 2021 banner

Being able to recognise and say thank you to our neighbourhood community heroes is so important, and that’s why we hold our Good Neighbour Awards each year.

We are asking you to nominate someone in your community who has they provided a huge amount of support to you or go out of their way to keep the community looking it’s best.

Nominated residents, who live in properties managed by us, have the chance to win £75 in vouchers if they win one of the below categories:

  • Neighbour Achievement Award (Group Award) –

We are looking to celebrate the voluntary sector by awarding the work of an outstanding organisation! Residents can nominate an organisation who has helped and supported our tenants and communities.

  • Older Persons Champion

This award specifically recognises the dedication of tenants over 60 years of age who go out of their way to help the people who live around them.

  • Good Neighbour Award

This award recognises people who are always there when you need them; they may look after your house or pet while you are away, help tidy your garden or help with your shopping. Or they may have stood up to Anti-social Behaviour in their neighbourhood.

We are delighted to include three new categories in our awards for 2022

  • Involved Tenant/Leaseholder of the year

This award is dedicated to recognising engagement excellence by an individual that has made a significant contribution to improve services for the benefit of all our customers

  • Younger Persons Champion

This award is for our younger generation aged between 5–18, who have managed to lift the spirits of others in their community. It could be that they have ran errands for neighbours, made cakes for their community, or have gone out of their way to talk to those who may otherwise have felt isolated

  • Home Carer Award

This award recognises and celebrates the dedication that Home Carers show to their local community or the difference they have made to the life of a vulnerable person they are caring for.

The closing date for nominations 21 August 2022.

The winners and runners-up will be presented with a certificate and shopping vouchers at our Annual General Meeting at The Mercury Theatre on 28 September 2022
