Financial support available for your energy bills

We understand that some of you will be concerned about the upcoming price increases in gas bills. The surge in gas prices has meant some smaller gas providers have stopped operating and larger suppliers may need to increase the cost to customers.

If you have any concerns or questions about what this means to you, don’t forget that support is available.

The Green Doctors: They help households stay warm, stay well and save money on household bills. They offer useful tips for saving energy whilst ensuring your home stays safe and comfortable, as well as supporting you to access other support, such as emergency heating, government subsidies or grants and advice on energy or water debt. Citizens Advice Colchester: They provide free, confidential and impartial advice on big issues affecting people’s lives. Their goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face. Christians Against Poverty: Working in partnership with the national charity Christians Against Poverty, they provide a solution to help people with unmanageable debt. The group can provide budgeting advice which can help you with your energy bills.  You can contact them on 01274 760720.
