Applications for this round of funding should be submitted by 4th January 2022
Colchester Borough Homes Community Initiative Fund 2021

Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) has launched the third and final round of its Community Initiative Fund for 2021 which supports local groups who provide Colchester residents with essential support and community facilities.

The Community Initiative Fund provides a total of £40,000 across three rounds of funding throughout the year. Local groups and charities are encouraged to apply for a share of this and must show us how their services and projects offer valuable support not only to tenants of the Council but to all residents across the borough.

So far this year, 23 local groups have already received funding to help them make a difference in their community. Recipients include Monkwick Munch Club, Age Concern Colchester and Ending Life’s Taboo.

Colchester Borough Homes Chief Executive, Philip Sullivan said: “I’ve been really impressed by the results and opportunities our Community Initiative Fund has created so far this year. It’s reassuring to know tenants and residents have access to a wide variety of assistance, should they ever need it. CBH is committed to being a community enabling leader for Colchester. By working with local groups and partners, we ensure people have access to the support they need. I encourage local groups who can make a difference to submit an application.”
Along with the Community Initiative Fund, CBH actively supports and funds local organisations throughout the year. These partnerships provide tenants and leaseholders with the reassurance that support is always available for a variety of needs. Find out more here.

Applications for the third round of funding can be made by completing the form below or emailing and should be submitted by 4th January 2022.
