Colchester Borough Homes provides funding to local support groups
Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) has announced the successful applicants for its Community Fund.
Every year, Colchester Borough Homes offers a total of £40,000, over three separate rounds, to local groups in Colchester who can offer a vast range of support services, opportunities and facilities to all residents across the borough.
A panel of CBH’s tenants and leaseholders assessed the applications against an agreed criteria. A key item was for the groups to be accessible to tenants and leaseholders and how their suggested initiative would continue to support residents in the future.
The successful groups for this year’s first round of funding includes:
- Funnelwick Limb
- Find Your Spark
- East Anglian Indian Association
- Clown in the Sky
- Monkwick Munchclub
- The Warm and Toasty Club
- Shoe Box Celebration Appeal
- YOPEY (Young People of the Year)
- ReFocus TA-DAH
Colchester Borough Homes Director of Operations Karen Loweman said: “Congratulations to the recipients of the first round in this year’s Community Fund. We’ve supported and funded many local groups over the last few years who have provided incredibly valuable services not only to our tenants and leaseholders, but residents across the whole borough.
“The work and support these groups offer is essential for so many residents, and it’s because of residents we continue to support local groups as they’re at heart of everything that we do.”
