Last chance to Make a Difference!

Colchester Borough Homes' final 'Make a Difference Day' (MAD Day) event of 2018 will take place on Thursday 27 September 2018 - at Fiddlers Folly in Fordham Heath.

The Make a Difference Day team is comprised of Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) staff, volunteers, residents, local organisations and community groups. These organisations join together to help strengthen local communities by completing a programme of events to reinvigorate areas across Colchester.

In Fiddlers Folly this will include work to tidy and remove leaves at the play park, clearing moss, debris, vegetation and weeds from the floor of all the car parks, clearing leaves from the pavements and complete some litter picking. Trees will also be trimmed on the day.

Karen Loweman, Director of Housing said: "The final MAD Day at Fordham Heath will round off a very successful series of events. The activities that have been completed have made significant improvements in a number of local communities across Colchester.

Volunteering in these events really does make a difference to people's lives. I would encourage anyone to come along and contribute some time, no matter how short, as it can give a real sense of pride in where you live."

The team will be on site between 9am and 2pm in Fiddlers Folly, Fordham Heath CO3 9UF. Anyone passing by, living or working in the area is welcome to come and speak to the team. If you are able to give some time to volunteer, please get in touch via info@cbhomes.org.uk.
