CBH set to 'Make a Difference' in Shrub End

Shrub End MAD Day

Colchester Borough Homes will be bringing its successful 'Make a Difference Day' (MAD Day) action event to Coates Hutton Road, Shrub End on Thursday 28 June 2018.

Make a Difference Days bring together Colchester Borough Homes (CBH) staff, volunteers, residents, local organisations and community groups, who work in partnership to complete a series of activities. These activities aim to reinvigorate the designated target areas, providing benefits that radiate to the wider community across Colchester.

In Shrub End, this will focus on working on the communal arears of the flats in Kingsford, Tayspill and Gatacre Court.  The team will be working to transform the local area by undertaking a significant clean-up operation- clearing moss and leaves, litter picking and clearing gardens.

Gareth Mitchell, Chief Executive of Colchester Borough Homes, said: "We are pleased to be able to bring this event to Shrub End. This series of events have been proved extremely worthwhile and have made a huge difference to local communities.

"If you live locally, why not come and get involved? You can play your part in making a change and help develop a real sense of pride in where you live."

The team will be on site between 10am and 3pm in Coates Hutton Road, Shrub End. Anyone passing by, living or working in the area is welcome to come and speak to the team. If you are able to give some time to volunteer, please get in touch via info@cbhomes.org.uk.
