‚ÄčHow we can help

Domestic abuse can affect victim's housing, health, education and the freedom to live without fear. One of the reasons that people remain in an abusive relationship is the fear of losing their home, not knowing where they can go if they choose to leave, how they will afford to finance relocating or rent, etc.

We are committed to helping those affected by domestic abuse and we have a procedure in place to deal with reports of domestic abuse. Our Community Safety Team are trained in awareness of the difficulties raised in such circumstances.

We work with our tenants by providing support, advice and signposting to partner agencies to provide ongoing support and guidance for victims dealing with legal matters and other issues. We can work with you in providing additional security to remain in your home or talk through options and offer advice and advocacy in supporting victims through the housing process.
